Pennsylvania-based Credit Union PSECU Commits $20K to Hurricane Harvey Recovery Efforts, Encourages Member Giving with Donation Match up to an Additional $80K

Harrisburg, PA – In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey in Texas and surrounding areas, the Board of Directors of PSECU, a leading Pennsylvania-based credit union, authorized a corporate donation of $20,000 to assist with recovery efforts. Encouraging its members to contribute to the cause, the credit union has also committed to matching their donations up to an additional $80,000, increasing its potential give to a total of $100,000.

“At PSECU, we make it a priority to follow the credit union philosophy of ‘people helping people,’ and with that in mind, we feel strongly that as an organization we need to take action to help those facing severe challenges as a result of heavy rains, wind, and flooding from Hurricane Harvey. Making financial contributions to charities that are doing work on the scene is how we are ensuring that funds are deployed quickly and efficiently to help those in need,” said PSECU Board Chair Joseph Sassano. “We also felt that it was important for us to give our more than 400,000 members the opportunity to contribute to the cause and help make a difference. Our matching commitment aims to strengthen their individual giving ability.”

PSECU’s initial $20,000 donation will be shared equally among eight national and international charities that are aiding hurricane recovery in diverse ways, from providing shelter to displaced individuals, to distributing essential food supplies, to assisting animals in need. Each of the charities will receive $2,500 to support their efforts. The full list includes:

• American Red Cross
• AmeriCares
• Direct Relief
• Feeding America
• The Humane Society of the United States
• National Credit Union Foundation
• Salvation Army
• United Way Worldwide

To be counted toward PSECU’s $80,000 matching commitment, the credit union’s members’ donations must be made to one of the selected charities listed above using a PSECU credit or debit card or PSECU Bill Payer service. After 90 days, the credit union will calculate total member donations and distribute the matching funds among the charities proportionate to members’ giving preferences.

“While we do greatly appreciate the work being done by countless organizations to assist those experiencing hardship due to Hurricane Harvey, for tracking purposes, to be included in our matching contribution, members must make their donation to one of the specified charities,” said PSECU President Greg Smith. “So that we have an accurate record of the donations, we are also asking that members make their donation using a PSECU credit or debit card or PSECU Bill Payer service.”

“It’s our sincere hope that through these efforts – potentially reaching $100,000, we can make a positive impact on those experiencing hardship as a result of Hurricane Harvey,” added Sassano.

Friends of Oakland Animal Services Receives $40,000 Grant from PetSmart Charities to Fund "Cat Condos"

City’s Newest Development Will Keep Homeless Cats Purring While Awaiting Adoption

This generous grant means that Oakland Animal Services will be able to provide top notch housing for our city’s cats while they are passing through our shelter on their way to their new families.”

— Oakland Animal Services Director Rebecca Katz

OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA, USA, August 31, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — OAKLAND–The Bay Area real estate market may be notoriously harsh, but housing prospects are looking up for Oakland’s homeless cats, thanks to a $40,000 grant to Friends of Oakland Animal Services from PetSmart Charities, the leading funder of animal welfare in North America. The grant will provide for the renovation of cat kennels in the shelter’s holding area, creating more modern, less stressful living spaces that will ultimately improve the felines’ chances of finding their forever homes.

Why are the shelter’s new cat condo plans getting major meows of approval? In 2016, Oakland Animal Services took in more than five cats every day–a total of 1,899 for the year–and 10 to 12 at a time are housed in the holding area now awaiting renovation. The improved design of the new condos will help reduce the spread of illness, give cats room to stretch, move around, and enjoy high perches, and reduce the anxiety associated with shelter noise. What’s more, by allowing shy or noise-sensitive cats to be made available for adoption from these more private quarters, more cats will be saved who would otherwise not be adoptable from the shelter.

“This generous grant means that Oakland Animal Services will be able to provide top notch housing for our city’s cats while they are passing through our shelter on their way to their new families,” says Oakland Animal Services Director Rebecca Katz. “We’re thrilled that PetSmart Charities shares our commitment to ‘cat-friendly housing.’”

”Oakland Animal Services has long been committed to helping homeless pets in the Bay Area, and with plans to build new ‘cat condos,’ they are making an effort to provide cats in need with the comfort they deserve as they search for their forever home,” said Jenny Aho, regional relationship manager at PetSmart Charities. “Pets in need deserve a great home, even as they are waiting for the right family.”

Shelter Operations is just one of PetSmart Charities’ ten grant categories designed to support animal welfare organizations and nonprofits as part of their newly expanded mission to find lifelong loving homes for all pets by supporting programs that bring people and pets together. Funding from PetSmart Charities supports best practices that help pets thrive in a shelter environment until they find their forever family and offers funding for shelter-based programs that improve adoptions, reduce pets’ length of stay and strengthen shelter infrastructure.

Oakland Animal Services is Oakland’s only “open admissions” shelter, accepting all of Oakland’s homeless, injured, orphaned, unwanted, lost, abandoned and mistreated animals. With the assistance of dedicated volunteers and the support of nonprofit Friends of Oakland Animal Services, OAS saves the lives of thousands of animals every year. Texas Corporate Whistleblower Center Now Urges an Employee of a Company That Is Overbilling the Defense Department or any Federal Agency in Texas To Call About Possible Huge Rewards

If you can prove your Texas based employer has overbilled the US Government and the amount of overbilling is at least a million dollars please call us anytime at 866-714-6466 ”

— Texas Corporate Whistleblower Center

WASHINGTON, DC, USA, August 31, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Texas Corporate Whistleblower Center says, “We are urging an employee of a Texas based company that is providing any type of imaginable service to the US Department of Defense or any other federal agency to call us anytime at 866-714-6466 if their employer is involved in significant overbilling, fraud or if the company is out of compliance with their federal contract. As we would like to discuss the rewards for this type of information can be substantial.” http://Texas.CorporateWhistleblower.Com

The Texas Corporate Whistleblower Center is especially interested in hearing from an employee with proof their Texas based employer is overbilling the US federal government for the following types of services:

* A Texas based company providing transportation or logistics services to the US Department of Defense or any other federal agency.
* A Texas based wind or solar company that has misspent grant money provided by the Department of Energy.
* A Texas based company providing any type of food, fuel or security services to the US Department of Defense.
* A Texas based road builder or construction company providing services to the Department of Transportation or any other federal agency.
* A Texas based company providing housing services to the Department of Defense, HUD or GSA
* A company in Texas overbilling the US General Services Administration on a contract or out of compliance with a GSA contract.
* A Texas based food distribution company that is overbilling the Department of Agriculture for school lunch programs, or any other type of food service.
* A Texas based environmental contractor that is overbilling the EPA for work being done at a Super Fund site or anywhere in Texas.

* Special note the business could be located anywhere in Texas including Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, El Paso, Fort Worth, Corpus Christi, Lubbock, Waco, Plano, Laredo, or Arlington.

According to the Texas Corporate Whistleblower Center, “If you can prove your Texas based employer has overbilled the US Government and the amount of overbilling is at least a million dollars please call us anytime at 866-714-6466 and let’s discuss how the whistleblower reward program works. Why sit on a potentially winning lotto ticket without ever knowing what it might have been worth?” http://Texas.CorporateWhistleblower.Com

Simple rules for a whistleblower from the Texas Corporate Whistleblower Center: Do not go to the government first if you are a potential whistleblower with substantial proof of wrongdoing. The Texas Corporate Whistleblower Center says, “Major whistleblowers frequently go to the government thinking they will help. It’s a huge mistake. Do not go to the news media with your whistleblower information. Public revelation of a whistleblower’s information could destroy any prospect for a reward. Do not try to force a company/employer or individual to come clean about significant Medicare fraud, overbilling the federal government for services never rendered, multi-million-dollar state or federal tax evasion, or a Texas based company falsely claiming to be a minority owned business to get preferential treatment on federal or state projects. Come to us first, tell us what type of information you have, and if we think it’s sufficient, we will help you with a focus on you getting rewarded.” http://Texas.CorporateWhistleblower.Com

Unlike any group in the US the Corporate Whistleblower Center can assist a potential whistleblower with packaging or building out their information to potentially increase the reward potential. They will also provide the whistleblower with access to some of the most skilled whistleblower attorneys in the nation. For more information, a possible whistleblower with substantial proof of wrongdoing in Texas can contact the Whistleblower Center at 866-714-6466 or contact them via their website at http://Texas.CorporateWhistleBlower.Com

WiseGuyReports.Com adds” China Concentrated Photovoltaic (CPV) Market by Manufacturers, Regions (Province), Type and Application, Forecast to 2022 “Research To Its Database.

Concentrated Photovoltaic (CPV) is a photovoltaic technology that generates electricity from sunlight. Contrary to conventional photovoltaic systems, it uses lenses and curved mirrors to focus sunlight onto small, but highly efficient, multi-junction (MJ) solar cells. In addition, CPV systems often use solar trackers and sometimes a cooling system to further increase their efficiency. Ongoing research and development is rapidly improving their competitiveness in the utility-scale segment and in areas of high insolation. This sort of solar technology can be thus used in smaller areas.

POLYNESIE:LE MARAE TAPUTAPUATEA A RAIATEA INSCRIT AU PATRIMOINE MONDIAL DE L'UNESCO. Par Corinne RAYBAUD.

TAHITI, POLYNESIA, August 30, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — LE MARAE TAPUTAPUATEA A RAIATEA INSCRIT AU PATRIMOINE MONDIAL DE L'UNESCO,depuis le 9 Juillet 2017.

Corinne RAYBAUD
